Job description

At Qualtrics, we create software the world’s best brands use to deliver exceptional frontline experiences, build high-performing teams, and design products people love. But we are more than a platform—we are the creators and stewards of the Experience Management category serving over 18K clients globally. Building a category takes grit, determination, and a disdain for convention—but most of all it requires close-knit, high-functioning teams with an unwavering dedication to serving our customers.

When you join one of our teams, you’ll be part of a nimble group that’s empowered to set aggressive goals and move fast to achieve them. Strategic risks are encouraged and complex problems are solved together, by passing the microphone and iterating until the best solution comes to light. You won’t have to look to find growth opportunities—ready or not, they’ll find you. From retail to government to healthcare, we’re on a mission to bring humanity, connection, and empathy back to business. Join over 6,000 people across the globe who think that’s work worth doing.

Director, Safety Delivery

Why We Have This Role

As the Director, Safety Delivery, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the implementation, ongoing support, customer success, and optimization of our Safety & Reliability portfolio. You will lead a multidisciplinary organization responsible for guiding healthcare clients through the entire customer lifecycle—from go-live to long-term value realization. By driving seamless adoption across solutions like the High Reliability Platform (HRP) and Patient Safety Organization (PSO) services, you will ensure our delivery capabilities directly support clinical quality outcomes and client satisfaction. If you are a strategic leader with deep healthcare technology expertise and a passion for driving patient safety, this role will put you at the center of client impact.

How You’ll Find Success

• Strategic & Operational Leadership: Establishes scalable delivery methodologies, performance metrics, and resource allocation strategies across implementation, support, and success teams.

• Enterprise Implementation Excellence: Oversees complex, multi-site software deployments, ensuring projects align with contractual scope, timeline, and client readiness.

• Value & Adoption Champion: Drives long-term platform utilization and measurable client outcomes by connecting implementation seamlessly to post-go-live optimization.

• Healthcare Domain Mastery: Leverages a strong understanding of patient safety, high-reliability principles, and healthcare operations to guide configurations and workflows.

• Executive Influencer & Escalation Leader: Collaborates smoothly with C-suite client leaders, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to align business growth with client outcomes.

How You’ll Grow

• Lead and shape the strategic direction of a high-impact healthcare SaaS delivery organization.

• Deepen executive-level strategic relationships across major healthcare systems and enterprise accounts.

• Partner directly with Product and Engineering leadership to influence application roadmaps, technical configurations, and feature enhancements.

• Scale cross-functional operations spanning implementation, customer success, technical support, and domain optimization.

Things You’ll Do

• Direct Full-Lifecycle Operations: Provide strategic direction and operational management across all implementation, support, and customer success functions within Safety Delivery.

• Oversee Enterprise Implementation: Lead teams of Safety Solution Designers and implementation resources in defining software configuration, workflow design, testing, and go-live readiness.

• Drive Client Adoption & Retention: Establish client optimization frameworks and roadmaps that ensure deep utilization, executive business reviews, and measurable ROI.

• Manage Team Capacity & Performance: Direct staffing, workload distribution, and capacity planning while coaching and developing managers and team leads.

• Resolve Critical Escalations: Serve as the executive point of contact for complex delivery challenges, aligning internal multidisciplinary resources for rapid resolution.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare technology, SaaS delivery, software implementation, or healthcare safety and quality leadership.

• Proven leadership experience directly managing teams of managers or team leads across multidisciplinary functions.

• Demonstrated background overseeing complex enterprise software implementations and ongoing customer success operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Quality, or related field.

• Experience or background with Patient Safety Organizations (PSO), High Reliability Organizations (HRO), risk management, or clinical safety software is preferred.
