Job description
Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
The UX Platform team aims to improve workflows in the Figma Ecosystem, with a focus on the user experience at the boundary of different features and products. Our goal is to make distinct features within the design editor feel more connected so that both new and experienced users can move as quickly as possible through their creative process. The team tackles complex core product and platform challenges with real revenue implications, shaping Figma’s product experiences across teams and impacting how millions of people design and build together every day. We build thoughtful, extensible UI patterns that help our product suite feel more familiar and intuitive. Given the reach of the features and experiences we build, we have an exceptionally high bar for product quality and craftsmanship. Most recently, the team has been focused on improving Agent-driven workflows in the design editor.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
• Manage and support a team of experienced engineers to build new features that better connect Figma’s multi-product ecosystem
• Champion a strong engineering culture rooted in inclusivity, velocity, and technical excellence
• Partner with product, design and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects
• Work closely with cross-functional partners and other engineering teams to build and support a culture of doing great work together for our engineering team by investing in team culture, mentorship, and meaningful work
• Grow your career in a collaborative and creative engineering community
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
• 2+ years of engineering management experience and leading a high output engineering team
• 6+ years of frontend or fullstack engineering experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including a proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and guiding senior engineers
• Experience building product roadmaps with product, design, and data-science partners
• Proven success balancing technical quality work alongside feature development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
• Success working in highly complex and ambiguous product spaces
• Experience shipping cross-product features and tools at high velocity
• Strong collaboration experience across engineering teams and organizations
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
