Job description
ABOUT ABRIDGE
Founded in 2018, Abridge is the first AI-native clinician intelligence platform organized around the patient, built for clinicians, and designed to help health systems coordinate the clinical, financial, and evidence-based decisions for every moment of care. Powered by purpose-built AI for healthcare, Abridge connects patients, providers, payers, and life sciences companies. This year, the platform will support more than 100 million patient-clinician conversations across more than 300 of the largest and most complex health systems in the U.S. With deep workflow integration, the Abridge clinician intelligence platform has been validated to support encounters in 28+ languages across specialties and care settings.
Abridge is setting the industry standard for the responsible deployment of Al across health systems with continual and transparent Al evaluation. Clinical decision support references and cites gold-standard sources of evidence, and features like Linked Evidence map AI-generated documentation to source data, helping clinicians quickly trust and verify the output.
Abridge was awarded Best in KLAS for Ambient AI in 2025 and 2026, in addition to other accolades, including TIME Best Inventions of 2024 and 2025, CNBC Disruptor 2025, and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies 2025.
We are a growing team of practicing clinicians, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to transform healthcare. We have offices located in San Francisco, New York, and Pittsburgh.

- Owning physical security operations for our San Francisco Office, including access control, visitor management, surveillance systems (CCTV), alarm monitoring, and key management
- Managing the contract security guard force, including staffing schedules, post orders, patrol routes, escort services, performance management, training standards, and ensuring consistent service delivery aligned with Abridge's standards and culture
- Developing and maintaining the office's life safety program, including fire safety plans, emergency action plans, evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place protocols, and AED/first aid readiness
- Leading incident response for all physical security and life safety events at the office, conducting investigations, writing after-action reports, and driving corrective actions
- Conducting regular risk assessments and security audits of the facility, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to physical security posture, technology, and procedures
- Collaborating with Facilities, IT, and People teams on office buildouts, access control integrations, new hire/offboarding security procedures, and workplace safety initiatives
- Managing security technology systems including access control platforms, video management systems, intrusion detection, and intercoms, owning vendor performance, standards, maintenance, and upgrades
- Running employee safety programs, including in-person escorts, commute and neighborhood risk management, and employee safety monitoring.
- Monitoring the local threat environment, including protests, demonstrations, and activism targeting the AI industry, and communicating timely guidance to employees.
- Creating and delivering security awareness training for employees, covering topics such as workplace safety, visitor protocols, emergency procedures, and threat awareness
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or site-lead capacity
- Hands-on experience managing a contract security guard force, including staffing, scheduling, post orders, training, and performance accountability
