Job Description
AI Intern Global Communications & Marketing
Copenhagen, Denmark
Are you excited by the opportunity to build and test AI solutions? Are you motivated by helping deliver Ramboll’s 2026 ambition to scale responsible, high-value AI across a global Communications & Marketing function? Are you a curious, structured and collaborative person who enjoys connecting people, technology and commercial needs?
If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Global Communications & Marketing function as our new AI Intern, Global Communications & Marketing and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Your new role
Communications & Marketing at Ramboll builds and protects our brand, tells the story of our expertise, and helps our business win and grow work across 35 countries. The function spans brand and thought leadership, campaigns, communications, design, digital channels, marketing technology and analytics - consisting of Global Communication & Marketing, Global Business Area and Geography teams.
AI is one of the main levers in our 2026 plan. Colleagues across the function are already working with it on a daily basis, and the opportunity now is to turn pilots into practical, repeatable ways of working: real world efficiency gains, better output, and clear guidance.
This role reports directly to the Head of Global Digital Operations , but works across the whole Communications & Marketing function. You will work on the AI initiatives and on the wider AI agenda across marketing; connect stakeholders, collect inputs, help build AI systems. Alongside that, you will build, test and scale practical AI use cases and applications in our own technology platforms and keep track of the AI tests learnings and iterations that the colleagues in the full function are conducting.
Alongside that, you will test and build practical AI applications in our own technology platforms and keep track of the AI tests that the colleagues in the full function are conducting, including reporting.
We are looking for someone technical enough to understand, and communicative enough to make it land. Someone innovative, well-organised, who understands communication and marketing and is confident interacting with senior stakeholders across countries and functions.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Coordination of AI initiatives across the function
• Support the Head of Global Digital Operations in driving the AI initiatives: Being super AI user, planning, stakeholder coordination, tracking progress, preparing material for decision points.
• Act as the connective link on AI-related work: collect inputs, follow up with tasks, keep a shared view of what is running where.
• Maintain a single overview of AI initiatives, owners, status, and dependencies across communications and marketing function.
Enablement and adoption in Global Marketing & Communications
• Turn what works into repeatable practice: Real world use cases, short guides, prompt libraries, templates, and how-to material for marketers across teams.
• Maintain a living register of approved AI use cases, tools, and known failure modes.
Building and testing practical AI applications
• Prototype AI-supported workflows in our marketing technology
• Build AI-assisted account and tender intelligence packs for key accounts and must-wins: client priorities, published strategies, market signals, competitor positioning
• Evaluate new AI features in our marketing technologies and give a clear recommendation.
About you
From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe a good starting point is:
Required
• You are studying towards a degree in computer science, applied AI/machine learning, marketing, communications, software engineering, or a closely related field.
• Technical fluency and hands-on experience building with AI, not only using it. You can walk us through something you have made; i.e. an agent, a script, an integration, an evaluation, a working prototype.
• You can go from idea to a working prototype without waiting for someone else to build it.
• Evidence of coordinating something with multiple people involved.
• What matters to us is that you got people aligned and delivered
• Curiosity about the commercial side. You do not need marketing experience, but you should want to understand how campaigns, customer data, and buying journeys work.
• Strong written and spoken English.
Preferred
• Understanding of how LLMs actually behave: context, retrieval, evaluation, and where they fail.
• You can judge whether output is reliable enough to put in front of a client-facing team.
• Exposure to marketing technology platforms.
• Interest in B2B, professional services, engineering, or another long-cycle, expertise-driven sector.
