We are seeking a General Assistant to join our team in Swindon, United Kingdom. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative skill base whilst providing essential support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be organised, efficient, and committed to delivering professional service across all areas of their role.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to designated departments and team members
• Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and databases using appropriate systems
• Perform data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail
• Coordinate office activities and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including post and email management
• Schedule meetings, arrange travel, and manage calendars for staff members
• Assist with general clerical duties including photocopying, filing, and document preparation
• Prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Support the induction process for new team members
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Contribute to the organisation's efficiency through continuous process improvement suggestions
Qualifications
**Required Skills and Experience:**
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven data entry experience with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional approach to all tasks and interactions
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities

• Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
