We are seeking an experienced and professional Supervisor to join our team in Catterick, United Kingdom. In this permanent position, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a team of staff members, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organisational skills, and a commitment to supporting and developing their team members.
• Supervise and manage a team of staff members, providing clear direction, guidance, and support
• Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Schedule staff shifts and allocate resources efficiently to meet operational requirements
• Ensure compliance with workplace policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
• Identify performance issues and implement appropriate corrective actions in a professional manner
• Foster a positive and productive working environment that encourages team collaboration
• Communicate effectively with senior management and other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Provide induction and training to new team members to support their career progression
• Monitor work quality and productivity, taking decisive action to address any shortfalls
• Handle staff queries, concerns, and conflicts with empathy and professionalism
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to team performance and attendance
Qualifications
Required:
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team management role
• Strong people skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent organisational and time-keeping abilities
• Proficiency in performance management and staff appraisals
• Sound knowledge of relevant workplace policies and procedures
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Desirable:
• Experience in a relevant industry sector
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
• Experience with management information systems or relevant software
• Training and mentoring experience
• Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations
