Job description

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Lead GTM Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to the Finance team.

Why join Sprout’s Finance team?

At Sprout Social, our Finance team powers the strategy behind helping leading brands unlock the value of social intelligence. We act as the company’s fiscal backbone—equipping leaders with insights to make smart decisions while delivering a seamless experience for customers and meeting the demands of a dynamic public company.

You'll join a collaborative team grounded in accuracy and operational excellence, where your work directly impacts Sprout's success. We foster a culture of high standards and continuous learning, giving you the opportunity to grow your expertise while making meaningful contributions.

What you’ll do

• Lead the development of GTM reporting and analysis processes, partnering with Sales, RevOps, and Partnerships leaders while keeping practices aligned to company-wide standards.

• Serve as the primary finance partner to GTM leadership, delivering insights that drive pipeline, pricing, and revenue decisions.

• Use Pigment, Salesforce, and Tableau to build and maintain GTM reporting, from pipeline coverage to bookings performance.

• Own the mechanics and drivers of the GTM P&L, plan, and forecast methodology, including how they roll into the broader company model.

• Lead monthly and quarterly GTM reporting end to end, including budget to actuals, variance analysis, and key GTM performance metrics.

• Build financial models for what-if scenarios, pricing and packaging analysis, and ad-hoc requests to inform GTM leadership decisions.

• Partner with Revenue Ops and Partnerships on scalable, reliable data solutions that support GTM planning across the company.

• Own the end-to-end GTM financial model, including bookings, ARR, pipeline, sales capacity planning, quota setting, and sales compensation design.

What you’ll bring

Sprout Social is looking for someone with past experience in Accounting and/or Finance, who is able to communicate clearly, partners well with Sales and GTM leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment. If you are looking to play a large part in the development of our best-in-class Finance team, we'd love to speak with you!

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

• 6 - 8+ years of experience in FP&A, revenue/GTM finance, or sales finance

• Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and maintain complex, scalable models

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

• Experience at a high-growth SaaS company

• Hands-on experience with Pigment (or similar planning tools), Salesforce, and Tableau (or comparable BI tools)

• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data across systems

How you’ll grow

• Complete Sprout Social’s new hire training & onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.

• Make a plan with your manager to set initial priorities, aligning on expectations for your role and planting goalposts for your career.

• Gain a deep understanding of the Finance team’s goals and the impact our work has on Sprout’s overall business objectives.

Within 3 months, you will:

• Build connections with Sales, RevOps, and Partnerships stakeholders through active networking and relationship building.

• Become proficient with Pigment, Salesforce, and data visualization tools to build and analyze GTM reports.

• Understand the mechanics and drivers of the GTM P&L, plan, and forecast methodology.

• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly GTM reporting.

Within 6 months, you will:

• Fully own monthly and quarterly GTM reporting, including actuals vs. target, variance analysis, and key GTM performance metrics.

• Provide GTM leadership with insights through ad-hoc financial analysis on pipeline, pricing, and revenue performance.

• Partner with Revenue Ops and Partnerships to build scalable, reliable data solutions for GTM planning.

• Own the end-to-end GTM financial model, including bookings, ARR, pipeline, sales capacity planning, and sales compensation design.

Within 12 months, you will:

• Be an expert and identify opportunities to improve our tools' capabilities and other areas for automation.

• Lead strategic GTM finance initiatives, partnering directly with Sales and RevOps leadership on business decisions.

• Mentor junior analysts and help shape GTM finance processes.

• Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change your team in beneficial ways that we haven't even considered yet.

Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
