With more than 100 billion items connected to date, and multiple Fortune 500 enterprises around the world using our platform, we solve for a better understanding of our world. If it’s a thing, we’re working to connect it. Join Impinj and help us realize our vision of a boundless IoT— connecting trillions of everyday items to the Internet.
Team Overview:
Join a small but seasoned team of sales account managers responsible for selling our EPIC tag ICs into a global ecosystem of UHF RFID inlay bonders, service bureaus and end-users. The specific focus for this position will be ecosystem partners in the larger Americas territory.
What you will do:
• Alongside our Americas Sr. Director IC Sales, work closely with our Americas ecosystem to sell and deploy customized item-intelligence solutions.
• Partner with our US Field Application Engineer (FAE) to build product awareness and relationships downstream — with converters, service bureaus and resellers — supporting label industrialization and driving value through product updates and best practices.
• Expand our brand presence in new and emerging markets (e.g., food, pharma) by identifying strategic partners who can deliver embedded solutions.
• Partner with business development, product management and marketing to build end-user brand awareness in key verticals and surface market needs and demand.
• Build relationships with senior decision makers to drive technology adoption, co-develop mutually beneficial solutions, and align resources around new markets and products.
• Provide near- and long-term forecasts for sales region and partners.
• Support marketing programs and trade shows.
• Maintain close communication with the EPIC team and corporate office in Seattle.
• Represent the customer voice internally, translating technical details into business value across presentations, negotiations and partner communications.
• Travel up to 40-50%, including primarily domestic and some international travel.
What you will bring:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales or business development role, preferably RF/wireless.
• Progressively successful sales experience in the Americas, delivering system and/or enterprise-level technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly develop an understanding of the Americas RFID ecosystem from End Users, SI (Systems Integrator), Service bureaus to Inlay manufacturers.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results in the field while maintaining strong communication with corporate-based team members.
• Team-oriented approach to business.
• Ability and willingness to fully utilize our corporate online customer relationship management tool (Salesforce.com) to assist in managing their region.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
